As Leaguers, we're dedicated to defending democracy through the empowerment and education of voters and advocacy for pressing societal issues. Attacks on women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, voters' rights, minority rights (sadly, that list goes on and on) continue at a pace that leave many of us wondering HOW "freedom" should be celebrated.

ACTION is one answer. Whether it's through Volunteering at one of our events, sharing our Mission/Bylaws/Program with others, or joining one of our Committees, we hope that you're inspired to celebrate freedom with ACTION.

Nina Streich was recently recognized as one of Winter Park Magazine's Most Influential 2023. Referred to as "The Movie Missionary," she's the founder and Executive Director of the Global Peace Film Festival-slated this year from Sept 18 to 24-which has become a force on the local arts and culture scene.

An amendment to limit government interference with abortion-- The coalition "Floridians Protecting Freedom" has launched a citizen-led ballot initiative campaign to give women the right to seek abortions up to viability. Learn how to become a Reproductive Freedom volunteer here.
