Buildings account for 40%+ of energy use in Florida.  It is imperative that the energy use of these buildings be significantly reduced as part of the strategy to achieve a healthy planet.

The panel discussion will probe how the energy efficiency of new construction and existing buildings can be dramatically improved and then combined with renewable energy to drastically reduce energy use.  How do the costs for zero energy and low energy use buildings compare to conventional buildings?   Who needs to be involved to make in this transformation in the built environment a reality?

Panelists:
Lisa Pearcy, CEO, 15 Lightyears
Ashley von Stone, City of Orlando Sustainability Project Manager
Philip Fairey, Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC), UCF
Philip Donovan, Little Architects; designed the sole FL Green Public school in Osceola County

Join us for HT Overtime immediately following our luncheon. We’ll convene next door in the Library 1:10-1:45. Bring your questions, comments, solutions.
