The League of Women Voters Orange County, Florida, one of the nation’s largest League chapters with some 700 members, selected a new slate of officers and directors at its annual meeting April 13, 2024. Orlando Super Saturday is 4/20 @10 AM: April 20 is the very first statewide day of action for #YesOn4. LWVOC will be hosting in person teach-ins so local partners and supporters get an opportunity to learn how to effectively talk to FL voters about amendment 4, abortion and self training. The Orlando event will be held near UCF. Event Info HERE  Help us invite folks--SHARE this newsletter. LWVOC President Tiffany Hughes will moderate. Panelists include Amy Weintraub, reproductive rights program director at Progress Florida; Dr. Kathryn Berryman, an Orlando ob-gyn who specializes in high-risk pregnancies; Taylor Aguilera, the statewide organizing director for Floridians Protecting Freedom, the coalition behind the amendment; Kait Thomson, senior director of public affairs for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, and Guerdy Remy, a nurse who has a personal abortion story.
LWVOC in the COMMUNITY
Our own Lee Rambeau Kemp, First VP of LWVOC will be speaking Saturday, APR 20 at the above noted locations.  This event is to inform our community about voting information, resources, and changes as we approach the next two Elections of our 2024 Voting cycle.  Also, if you have not toured the Wells Built Museum, it will be an excellent opportunity!  Invite your friends.  See you there!
