HOT TOPICS--A silver lining behind the cloudy future of Florida's Sunshine Law?  Maybe, but so much to make one skeptical.  Yesterday, attendees heard from the informative panel and also asked their own questions as well as at HT Overtime after the program.  Snapshots shown above top, L-R:  Panelists, elected officials 9th Dist. State Attorney Andrew Bain, WP Commissioners Marty Sullivan and Todd Weaver, WP Commissioner candidate Jason Johnson, 9th Dist. Trivia:  Do you know the significance of the color green for abortion rights, otherwise known as the "Green Wave Movement?"  Latin American has been at the forefront of reproductive rights and with its success, green has become globally recognized as the official color of the movement.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN!  Have you read LWVOC President Tiffany Hughes' latest email?  If it's sitting in your inbox, consider taking a few moments to explore her message.  An excerpt:

"Your League shines a light on truth, and parses fact from fiction. We prioritize and clarify issues that matter to voters. We register voters, support safe and fair elections, and stand up against the spread of mis- and dis-information. Together we sponsor precincts, ramp up outreach to young voters through SpeakEasies and college collaborations, hold speaker storytelling trainings, publish Vote411 and other voter outreach efforts.
Your support will expand communications to launch the message of democracy on all platforms. You’ll be amazed at how your contribution will be leveraged this coming most significant year."
