Question: What does a current social media trend have to do with our upcoming January 10 HOT TOPICS?
Answer:  The reels, stories, and posts across the apps ponder "string theory," an idea about the complexity of human connections and the forces that bind people together.

Helping us tie the strings together is an outstanding panel for Healthy Community = Healthy Democracy that will explore the relationship between the two and some irrefutable facts - communities that have access to quality education, healthcare, food, and housing are more likely to be active in shaping their neighborhoods.
The moderator is Sandi Vidal, vice president of community strategies and initiatives with the Central Florida Foundation and a former LWVOC co-president. Panelists include: Tracy Swanson, CEO of the Foundation for a Healthier West Orange; Freddy Morello, executive director of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Greater Orlando; Rachel Allen, executive director of the Peace and Justice Institute; and Dr. Bahiyyah Maroon, CEO of the Polis Institute.
