Join Julie Anderson, Editor-in-Chief of the Orlando Sentinel and the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Bill Cowles, Supervisor of Orange County Elections for 27 years, and Kevin Aslett, an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida who specializes in online misinformation, as they discuss the use of artificial intelligence to confuse voters and undermine democracy. Moderating is Spectrum News 13 Anchor, Ybeth Bruzual.
The panel will delve into previous attempts to spread false information via altered photos, videos, and other means, as well as how this technology may be employed in future elections. Most importantly, the panel will suggest actionable steps that voters can take to safeguard themselves. In addition, there will be a primary for House District 35. Early voting runs through November 5 from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. Candidate survey responses have been posted to Vote411.org for the upcoming election. The early voting sites are as follows:
