From: Lisa K Adkins

TIME is running out!  Have you signed the petition to limit government interference with abortion?  Have you asked your friends, family, and colleagues to join you?

VISIT  "Floridians Protecting Freedom", a citizen-led ballot initiative campaign to give women the right to seek abortions up to viability.

VOLUNTEER to gather petitions this weekend!
BRAVO to our incredible Membership and Events committees for hosting the bi-annual League Showcase & New Member Orientation.  We were fortunate to have a special guest in attendance, the LWV of FL Co-President Debra Chandler, shown left with LWVOC President Tiffany Hughes.
It was also a great evening to show appreciation to some of our "Unsung Heroes.”  These members were nominated by their peers for their time, energy, and commitment to the League mission. Shown below L-R: Mary Montanus, Betty Saulpaugh, Denise Burton, Pam Lindon, Nancy Galyean, presenter Barbara Lanning, & Saudi Ellis   Others who were unavailable:  Nancy Nix, Terry Gilliam, & Madeline Latorre

Were you one of the lucky attendees at our recent Hot Topics-Maxwell & Maxwell?  Our attendance record was broken and feedback has been phenomenal.  Visit RECAP for a full review of the event.  Also, see the  photo album and watch it on YouTube.

Some of us can remember when we first heard about the inter-webs (internet) and now we laugh at our naivety.  We find ourselves on another precipice of the unknown.  For our last 2023 Hot Topics, we'll explore the new frontier of AI--artificial intelligence and how it may affect elections and democracy as a whole.
