Voter Services Chairs  Kathy Sheerin and Gina Hall  (shown below, center row in purple) recently spoke at an event with the group REACH (Recognizing, Experiencing Asian Cultural Heritage). They  attended at the invitation of ACT, Asian American-Pacific Islanders Come Together. The meeting included about 50 local high school students from across several HS in Orange County. The focus of the presentation was Voter Education and Voter Registration. They gave out fans with QR codes, VR forms and talked about why it is important for students to register to vote, especially in light of banned books, the ban of certain AP courses and the cancellation of certain student clubs or organizations in high schools in Orange County.

UNSUNG HEROES~The lifeblood of the League is our member volunteer force. Rain or "broil" they are out registering voters and providing education on a wealth of topics ranging from new voting laws to government operations to a non-partisan look at issues voters will decide. In order for that volunteer army to march, there are also unsung heroes behind the scenes providing logistics and support. We want to recognize them as well! (Shown above, Adopt-a-Precinct volunteers at Precinct 1)

The Board of Directors wants to hear from you - who are the League's "unsung heroes?"
Tell us who they are and we will honor our volunteer force at the Fall League Showcase & New Member Welcome on October 17th.
Please submit your nominations HERE through September 18th.
