League of Women Voters Orange County Reaffirms Commitment to Election Integrity and Collaboration with the Newly Appointed Orange County Supervisor of Elections, Glen Gilzean

ORLANDO, FL — With the recent announcement appointing Mr. Glen Gilzean Orange County Supervisor of Elections, the League of Women Voters Orange County affirms our steadfast commitment to promoting election integrity and fostering collaborative relationships with the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office. As an organization dedicated to empowering voters and ensuring that every voice is heard in the democratic process, the League of Women Voters Orange County has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Supervisor Bill Cowles. We commend Supervisor Cowles for his dedication to upholding the integrity of our elections and for his unwavering commitment to serving the residents of Orange County.

In partnership with the Supervisor of Elections office, the League of Women Voters of Orange County served as staff for 18 precinct locations during the 2022 election cycle, welcoming voters and ensuring their experience was positive. Not only do we as an organization staff entire election precincts, but many of our members serve on the election staff at their home precinct. The League of Women Voters Orange County remains dedicated to educating voters, promoting voter participation, and advocating for policies that safeguard the integrity of our electoral process. With the transition to a new Supervisor of Elections, we will continue to prioritize election integrity and maintain open lines of communication with our local election officials.

As we embark on this new chapter, the League of Women Voters Orange County stands ready to support Supervisor Gilzean and his team to ensure that Orange County elections are conducted with integrity and transparency. We urge all voters to remain engaged, informed, and vigilant. Together, we can work towards a future where every eligible voter can access the ballot box and knows, with confidence, that their vote upholds the democratic values fundamental to our society.
