| It wasn't quite group therapy, but we left feeling more assured and less anxious after yesterday's Hot Topics: Election Anxiety. Panelists shared their organizations' efforts to ensure that all eligible voters have access to the information they need to participate in the Nov. 3 mid-term. And post-election, there are contingency plans for whatever disruptions might occur...weather, process, ballots, polling places, etc.
Their final take-away...trusted agencies are doing everything possible for a trouble-free election day! Your job is to educate yourself, share resources with your friends and family, and VOTE early if possible. Orange County will open 27 sites OCT 19 - NOV 1 and you can drop off your vote-by-mail ballot at any of those locations. More photos and RECAP coming soon; shown below l-r: panelist Brad Ashwell, HT Co-chair Karen Estrin, moderator Sandi Vidal, leaguer Karen Cannon | | | Need some WEEKEND PLANS??
The DEIA Committee invites League members and friends to join us for the Come Out With Pride Parade around Lake Eola in downtown Orlando on Oct 17 at 4p .
Let’s have fun, celebrate community and inclusion, and show our League spirit! 💙
Bring your smiles, your energy, and your pride. We’d love to have you, your neighbors and friends march with us. Prefer to ride and cheer? We've got you covered. We'll have a League float with chairs as an option.
| | | | GOING to the No Kings Rally before the parade? Look for our Co-President Kathy Schmitz who will be speaking at the event which takes place that morning, Saturday-OCT 17, from 11am - 1pm! Shown below, pics from last year's events! | | Maybe you've noticed that our newsletters haven't listed our generous donors lately...since June! Club Express was being "glitchy" and then due to an internal miscommunication, our donor notifications became lost in translation. With our apologies, we want to extend a belated THANK YOU to our many supporters and we appreciate your patience and gifts! | | Anonymous

Read the complete guide put forth by the League of Women Voters of Florida about the 3 amendments on this year's ballot. READ & SHARE this guide HERE. | | The League of Women Voters is far from alone in shouting, “Vote No on 3!” We stand alongside an unprecedented coalition of law enforcement, first responders and fiscal watchdogs from both conservative and liberal organizations. Loud opponents include Orange County Sheriff John Mina, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma, along with Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida State Fraternal Order of Police, Florida Professional Firefighters, Florida Economic Development Council, Florida TaxWatch, Florida PTA, Florida Education Association, right-leaning Tax Foundation and left-leaning Florida Common Cause.
