"March madness" takes on a whole new meaning with this month's news cycle. Our often-times partner Equal Ground responds to this week's HB 1001 and SB 1134 debacle: Florida Legislators Just Ripped Away Local Control Over DEI Initiatives

Leaguer Kam Shenai explores the connections in the current world upheaval in a two-part series.  Read the first part linked below (written before the Iran war declaration) and look for the second part soon.

And if you're feeling MAD enough to "march" in March, our national LWV supports members who choose to participate (in a non-partisan way) in the "No Kings Movement" rallies taking place across the nation (over 3000 locations now) joining the protest on March 28.
These Conflicts Are Not Separate
"Turn on the news and it feels like the world is facing multiple crises at once.
There is war in Ukraine.
Violence in Gaza.
Rising tensions involving Iran.
And growing concern in the Taiwan Strait.
At first glance, these seem like separate problems. Different regions. Different histories. Different players.
But they are more connected than they appear." Cont. reading HERE

Orlando City Hall

"What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy." ~ nokings.org
