With less than two months to go until the primary elections, now is the time to be doing your research and prepping your ballot. Attending our Judicial Candidate Forums is an effective and direct way to find the candidates that speak to you, your needs, and your people’s needs, so you can vote with confidence come August.

Teachers Wanted!
The Education Committee is looking for local educators who would like to participate in this year's Harvard Case Method Civics Workshop, AUG 20.  All training, case materials, and ongoing teacher support is FREE.  Learn more HERE about nominating a local teacher.  Nomination deadline is JULY 10.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL HPV Awareness
For the next couple of months, the LWVFL Repro Health & Justice Action Team is promoting the important issue of HPV  awareness/vaccine.
 
"The preteen years are the best time to vaccinate because the vaccine is most effective if it’s given long before the first sexual contact and first exposure to the virus. Research has shown that children ages 11 to 12 respond better to the immunization and produce higher levels of antibodies that fight infection compared to older children."
