The League of Women Voters of Orange County has a history of more than 80 years in this community as an activist, grassroots organization whose members believe citizens should play a critical role in advocacy.  We do not endorse or oppose political candidates or parties at any level of government.  Our advocacy positions are based on the merits of each issue, after careful study and consensus.

We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving, as well as Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.  And after all that consuming, we invite you to join with others around the world in a Global Day of Giving.  On November 30th, #GivingTuesday, go to lwvoc.org, log in if you are a member, and give in support of our fight to protect the gifts of democracy.  Not a member but ready to help the League?  We welcome your gifts, just visit our Donations page .   Then, spread the word and encourage friends and family to take part in the giving.

We're looking forward to seeing you in-person again at our holiday festivities.  On the menu from Cuisiniers:  Salmon, chicken, roasted asparagus and carrots, potatoes dauphinois, beverage and dessert.
Vegetarian upon request.  Must be pre-ordered ASAP--contact Karen Estrin
Our program includes entertainment by Lynn Peghiny, as well as member recognition.

By shopping at Ten Thousand Villages on DEC 8, you can help support a great cause (including us!)   And you can shop there on the way to the party for toys/books that can be given to Hope CommUnity Center as they hold their 47th Annual Toy Drive; we're helping collect unwrapped toys at our holiday party.  Watch this special toy drive video  to see how the Center holds its "Toy Sale" for community members in need.
