The League of Women Voters of Orange County has a history of more than 80 years in this community as an activist, grassroots organization whose members believe citizens should play a critical role in advocacy.  We do not endorse or oppose political candidates or parties at any level of government.  Our advocacy positions are based on the merits of each issue, after careful study and consensus.

Hello League Members, it has been quite a couple of years! So much has changed in our world it's hard to know what "normal" is anymore. Since it has also been a couple of years since our last member engagement survey we thought it would be good to step back and see where we are and get a feel for what works and doesn't for you moving forward. Please take a moment to complete the survey and share your thoughts with us. We are listening!

We want to express our gratitude to all those who have served in the US military as well as our appreciation to the families who sacrificed family time while their loved ones served. Shown above, a gathering of veterans from a 2012 Hot Topics featuring Women in the Military including our own Leaguer and veteran, Charles Davis far right.  Quick facts:
*Gulf War-era veterans now make up the largest share of US veterans, having passed Vietnam-era veterans in 2016.
*The share of veterans who are women is projected to increase significantly, from 11% currently to 18% in 2046.

Today, the LWVOC is participating in the OC FL NAACP inaugural Thanksgiving event "Our Family Table" as a non-profit sponsor exhibitor.  We want to express our sincere appreciation to Sheldon and Betsy Granade who stepped up with a generous donation to help that happen.

Join them at Donations: Single or recurring  Donations are tax-deductible and can be made "In honor" or "In Memoriam" etc. to someone
