The purpose of the Orange County School Board District 6 candidate forum is to give voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss issues important to them, and to our community as it relates to public education. This event is free and open to the public.

Parents for Public Education will be hosting this forum, in partnership with OCCPTA. This community event will follow a non-partisan, unbiased and impartial format. It is important to us that all candidates are given a voice, and that the voters of District 6 are provided with all information available to make an informed vote. Candidates will answer questions that cover pre-submitted topics (that are most important to District 6 residents) during this event moderated by Matthew Peddie, host of "Intersection" on WMFE (full bio below).

Moderator Bio:

Matthew Peddie grew up in New Zealand, where he worked as a radio journalist before moving to Florida. Since 2013 he has been the host of "Intersection," WMFE’s public affairs show, covering Central Florida politics, the environment, tourism, the arts and music scene and more
