Why are you running for this office, and what qualities and skills do you bring to this position?
I am running for this office because public service has always been important to me. The city of
Orlando has grown substantially and will continue to grow. These changes in our city call for
someone that understands our community needs, knows our city government and has experience
dealing with it. Our citizens pay taxes to get public services, feel secure and live in peace and
tranquility. I can bring that sense of security back to our people on District 2. No one understands
more than I do, the desperate need for safe neighborhoods, safe schools, appropriate development
and the safeguarding of our kids after-school programs and seniors programs. For the past
fourteen years I have served our community as a Law Enforcement Officer on the Orlando Police
Department. For the last three-and-a half years I have served as the liaison officer for District 2.

What are the top 3 priority issues facing your community, and what actions would you take to address them if elected to office?

Safer Neighborhoods - I will work to put more Police Officers on the street. We have programs
in place, such as Neighborhood Watch, citizens on patrol, but not enough officers to manage
those programs and achieve results. Involve our citizens with the citizen's police academies. I
will form a committee of community leaders to meet once every month in order to discuss our
community needs. This initiative will help us stay proactive when dealing with our community
problems. (Contact me for more on this subject.)

Responsible Development - Development should be conducted in a way that ensures that our
streets and schools are not overcrowded and congested, and that the needs of our residents are
met. I will guide appropriate development and foster economic redevelopment for the Semoran
Boulevard and Curry Ford Road corridors and other commercial areas.

Seniors and Kids - I will fight to ensure that the city programs and neighborhood (...)
