Why are you running for this office, and what qualities and
skills do you bring to this position?
I 'm honored to serve the people. I am an incumbent commissioner
returning to office for the next four (4) years. I bring (25) twenty-five
years of supervisory and management skills within the police department.
I have served on several non-profit community boards, i.e., Lakeside
Alternatives Mental Health, and McKnight Achievers.

What are the top 3 priority issues facing your community, and
what actions would you take to address them if elected to office?
The top 3 priority issues facing my community are: Crime, Public
Safety, Economic & Housing Development. The actions that I would
take to address them are as follows: a.) Continue to work with the
police department to be more visible, effective in fighting crime,
and responsible to all communities and establish two (2) new police
substations, within the district, which would include the Washington
Shores and Metro West communities; b.) Continue to address the need
for additional traffic signals and road improvements and the building
of a new fire station in the Washington Shores area; and c.) Continue
to work with City Economic Development Planners, and local business
owners and developers to invest, remodel, renovate and /or build
new businesses, shopping centers and affordable and attainable housing
and additional housing for seniors.
