Current Occupation: I am an investment advisor managing a family office. Prior experience includes 14 years with Johnson & Johnson, the last six of which I served as VP/CFO of a subsidiary company I helped create and build.

Why are you running for this office, and what qualities and skills do you bring to this position?

I am running for City Commission because I have found a commitment to serve my community and because I know my professional experience and personal commitment to Winter Park can bring much needed balance to our leadership.

I have a history of involvement and a proven commitment to understanding the issues important to Winter Park.

As an investment advisor and former VP/CFO of a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson I have a wealth of understanding and business experience to bring to bear in solving the City's problems and directing programs and priorities that add value to our city and to our quality of life.

As a father whose children where born and raised in Winter Park I value our quality of life, our physical beauty, our civic institutions, our green space, our community and the importance of planning and executing a future that adds value to all these attributes.

What are the top 3 priority issues facing your community, and what actions would you take to address them if elected to office?

The character, scale, and quality of our City need to be protected. I will support limiting redevelopment projects in the downtown business district to three stories or less.

I will work to complete the commuter rail stop at the AMTRAK station. The Florida Department of Transportation and CSX Transportation signed agreements to bring Commuter Rail to Central Florida. The trains are coming and the rail stop is an opportunity to add value to our lives while preserving our City's character.

I will insist that suggested projects such as building a new post office at taxpayer expense come before the voters for approval and that we control City expenses before increasing taxes and fees. Property tax revenues are expected to decline and legal settlements have wiped out City reserves used for emergencies. The financial environment has changed. We need to be more responsible with your money.
