Why are you running for this office, and what qualities and skills do you bring to this position?
Orlando's citizens deserve better than the current state of affairs in the Mayor's office. Behind the scenes development deals, taxation without representation and rampant crime is at a crisis level in the city. Cooperate welfare is creating a burden for taxpayers that will cripple the city eventually. My decades of experience as a successful private business owner; and a fair one, have provided me with the knowledge and skills needed to execute the daily tasks as Mayor. Public officials were meant to come from all walks of life in our Democracy. Currently we have the illusion that there is a specific profession or career politician that is more qualified than the next person to run the office. This simply is not true. The notion of having people create a career out of politics is why we have the current mismanagement of public funds and breech of public trust in our community.

What are the top 3 priority issues facing your community, and what actions would you take to address them if elected to office?

Misrepresented and misused taxes. Under my leadership there will be open meetings and citizen involvement in any financial plans. My goal is to reduce the taxes and have complete accountability for spending.

Crime. I would seek input from all citizens, law enforcement and those who are the victims of crime to take care of their specific concerns. Together we will take back our city from the criminals.

Open Government. My opponent said that he would have citizen input for decisions made under his term by special advisory boards. I would truly have advisory boards that represent our citizens and not small special interest groups that don't take into account the future of all of our citizens. I will make sure there is fair representation for ALL of Orlando's citizens not just a select few with power and privilege. Those days would be over under my term.
