Why are you running for this office, and what qualities and
skills do you bring to this position?
I am a four term City Commissioner. I bring 30 years of conservative
business management, 9 years of public office experience including
8 years as a City Commissioner and one year on the Planning and
Zoning Board. I am running for reelection to maintain community
continuity and harmony on the City Commission. I believe all items
on the agenda should be explored and debated and the decisions made
be honored by the Commission. Winter Garden went through three years
of total discord and does not need any more dissention that is necessary.

|
What are the top 3 priority issues facing your community, and
what actions would you take to address them if elected to office?
The major issue facing Winter Garden will be operation of a municipal
government on 20% less tax revenue than available in previous years.
To accomplish this, one must understand that all employees must
be maintained to provide the goods and services currently available.
Austerity is the key word and must be maintained to keep all goods
and services provided at a high level. 2. The second major issue
is continued downtown redevelopment. The CRA that was begun a few
years ago is still providing tax dollars to create a healthy, beautiful
downtown area. More business must be attracted to keep the downtown
healthy and those business must be patronized to maintain economic
stability. 3. Expand and maintain a healthy Recreation Department.
With the advent of lower tax revenues the Recreation Department
was hurt the most and must be expanded to keep all of our residents
happy. We must explore all (
