LWVF: ACTION ALERT: URGENT!!

URGENT!!

HB7149 is going to the floor on Friday and SB956 will be on the Senate floor on Monday. In an earlier alert, we asked you to call Speaker Cretul, Senator Atwater, and Governor Crist. Now, we need all of you to call your State Senator and your State Representative and ask him/her to vote "NO" on these bills. It is critical that you tell them that you are a constituent and that you are a League member.

Here is a sample phone call:

"Hello, my name is ___________________.

I live in _______________________, Florida.

I am a CONSTITUENT of Senator/Rep. ______________________.

Please ask Senator/Rep.__________________ to OPPOSE SB 956 / HB 7149.

Can you please tell me how the Senator/Representative plans to vote?
