of Transportation Secretary Stephanie Kopelousos and Central Florida lawmakers
in Tallahassee to discuss the economic impact of SunRail.

Dear Governor Crist:
I just heard the news and wanted to personally say thank you for taking
a leadership role in our efforts to bring SunRail to Central Florida.
PLEASE LETS MAKE SURE SUNRAIL IS A COMPLETED DEAL!
As a cental Floridian, I know that commuter rail will help substantially
reduce the cost of living for our working citizens, relieve some of the
worst congestion in the country, and make a measurable difference in our
carbon footprint.
If successful, your action today will help bring desperately needed federal
funds to help jumpstart our local employment.
Nationally, Congress is readying huge infrastructure spending bills with
public transit as a key area. Florida deserves these funds, but will Congress
agree to send them to a state that turned down commuter rail?
Central Florida's Commuter Rail Project has unanimous approval by all
four counties and local governments. I am waiting, the clock is ticking,
and the rail use agreement expires this coming June. We need this NOW!
Governor Crist: thank you for stepping forward today!
